| SKIN TYPE | GENERAL RECOMMENDATION |
| Extremely Dry/Damaged or Extremely Sensitive Skin |
Best: NC Super Shea, NC Aloe Calendula, Olive Oil Unscented Good: Most of our other soaps would be a good choice for this condition except any soaps with clay or exfoliating herbs which may dry skin slightly. |
| Moderately Dry or Sensitive Skin |
Good: Most selections without clay would be good for this condition though super shea soap will really make the skin moisturized (see individual ingredients in product descriptions) |
| Moderate to Moderately Oily Skin |
We would recommend many of our soaps for moderate skin because they do not excessively strip the skin of oils nor leave excessive residue which can cause skin to overproduce oils naturally. We would, however, not recommend the use of soaps that work "best" for extremely dry skin as this too may cause the overproduction of natural skin oils. |
| Oily Skin |
Many of our soaps will be suitable for generally oily skin, however... Excessive Oils on skin can be caused by numerous problems, using our soap will generally not add to the problems unless used to excessively wash the skin. Our statements should not over-ride diagnosis made by specialists in this area. Also, oily skin could be caused by many issues including, but not limited to: diet, excercize, water intake, humidity, medication, and heredity. |
| Face Skin |
Since the face is generally more sensitive we recommend only soaps that contain no essential oils or fragrances: NC Super Shea, NC Aloe Calendula, OO Unscented, TL Unscented Many of our soaps will be suitable for face washing since they are more mild than most factory manufactured soaps. There is such a variety of skin, a little trial and error or a consultation with a specialist may be best for your needs. |
